The strong, courageous, assertive, resolute, meek, and honest warrior.
BHEEMA
(West Java's Sundanese ethnic style, in batik cloths; adaptation of Hindu epic Mahabharata)
The strong, courageous, assertive, resolute, meek, and honest warrior.
Bheema was the second of the Pandava brothers and was son of Kunti by wind-God Vayu. He was distinguished from his brothers by his great strength.
He was the father of Ghatotkacha.
In the great battle of Kurukshetra, he killed around 1,705,860 men and 787,320 beasts which was testimony to the portrayal as the character of supreme physical prowess. He refrained from killing any respectable elders in the Kaurava’s side out of respect for their virtue. The only elderly person he killed was Bhishma’s maternal uncle who asked Bheema to kill him as to release him from the sin of fighting for the Kauravas on account of Bhishma, his nephew.
Bheema’s character was described as courageous, assertive, strong, resolute, meek, honest, and treating people equally.
Final journey
He finished his days with his brothers on their great and final journey of pilgrimage in the Himalayas. He was the last to die on the journey, leaving his eldest brother Yudhisthira alone to complete the journey by himself. He joined his brothers in heaven.
